In this course, we delve into vision as a cognitive problem and examine models that address various vision tasks, exploring how these issues intersect with complex analyses of the mind and brain.
You'll learn to apply and discuss the limitations of different human and machine vision models, demonstrate and understand the geon model of object recognition, and evaluate the benefits and drawbacks of symbolist and visualist perspectives on mental imagery. Additionally, the course covers recognizing and differentiating between single-layer and multi-layer perceptron neural network models in artificial intelligence.
